Some people change the very fabric of our existence. Jimmy was one of those people. When I painted him, I set out to capture his essence, of course, but also the time period. The sixties was a messy time full of chaos and inspiration. But it also catapulted change and growth—the perfect recipe for a painting of the one and only Jimmy.
